"I am a very nurturing, very genuine, hard working and honest teacher who wants more opportunities to impact a child in a one on one environment! If I was asked to describe in one sentence the reason I have chosen to be in the Nanny profession over any other it would have to be because children are a joy, and the opportunity to teach and play with them one on one in their home environment is priceless! I have been serving in some form of childcare for over 20 years and can honestly say I value what I do! I feel the children are precious and in need of much nurturing, patience and love. My goal as a Nanny is to give children a stimulating and fun environment to play and explore in!! I want to challenge the children I nanny for to think, grow, and learn, and to enjoy life! I am willing to do housekeeping that includes light cleaning, dishes, and child’s laundry. I try to establish a pattern of consistency (a schedule) with every family I nanny for. I think this provides the child/ren with a sense of security and confidence. Saying this, I am also very flexible as to the child’s needs, which come first. In the mornings, I like to read and do some exercises, maybe taking a walk with a baby or putting on some music and dancing with small children. I love to cook with the children, perhaps just having them help with lunch preparation when possible. Some days we will do a craft or art project. I am very into science and art so we might make playdoh or take a nature walk to observe the current season. Around noon it is always good to have a little rest and quiet time, more reading or a nap.
