Since gaining the experience at a DC After School Program, Kristine has become an even better nanny to the families that she works with!

"I realize how important it is for parents to have peace of mind while unable to care for their children, whether in a DC After School Program or in their own home. I have always had a desire to work with children and find tremendous satisfaction in it. I strive to be the best I can be. If I was asked to describe in one sentence the reason I have chosen to be in the Nanny profession over any other it would have to be because I feel that I am positively impacting the lives of the children that I work with. I have been serving in some form of childcare experience for over six years and can honestly say I love what I do! I feel the children are a special gift that completes each family. I am willing to do light housekeeping that includes tidying up the home after daily activities with the children. If I had to describe myself in five adjectives I would say that I am honest, sincere, compassionate, positive, and energetic. Activities that I would like to incorporate in the daily plan for the family I care for would include both physical and education activities. If asked to describe the perfect family seeking a Nanny like me I would hope they would be a young energetic family, which is full of adventure!"
"Kristine and I were neighbors and grew up together. We became best of friends in early childhood and that friendship has grown over the years. We both lead busy lives and we don’t see each other often, but always know that if one of us in need, the other will be there to help in any way we can. While a teenager, Kristine helped her single mother with her two younger brothers. Throughout her adult life, Kristine has been involved in some type of childcare, including a DC After School Program. Once the boys began school, she volunteered as an aide and room mother, and then worked in their elementary cafeteria, before she became employed as an aide at the Kindergarten Academy. She is currently working at a day care center. There were times when my childcare provider was unavailable, and without hesitation I called Kristine and asked if she could help me out by watching my children. I am very particular with whom I leave my children with, but I can relax when they are in Kristine's care. They like being with her and she enjoys their company. I highly recommend her to any family in search of a child caregiver!"
"I met Kristine when my son was in the DC After School Program Kristine was working at. Mason really liked Kristine, and he always enjoyed it when she was there. She quickly became one of his favorite teachers. She was always willing to take the time to listen to him and she made him feel special. Many times when I picked him up he would talk about her. My son really missed her the following year and asked about her often. From our experience with Kristine, I can say with confidence that she would make an excellent nanny!"
“Kristine is great with my daughter and assists with her developmental achievements. She has made an incredible impact on both my daughter and me. I have truly enjoyed working with her, and feel completely confident leaving my child with her. Kristine is always patient and kind with both of us, and has shown nothing but thoughtfulness and high ethical standards with me. I would absolutely recommend her as a Nanny to anyone!”
“Kristine was always great with the children. They loved her, and I'm sure they sensed that she enjoyed being around them. She was always so full of energy. Shortly after meeting Kristine we become good friends and our friendship continued after she left and moved on. I always enjoy and look forward to spending time together catching up with what's going on in each of our lives. Kristine is a kind, loving, and caring individual. She would be beneficial to any DC After School Program!”
“Kristine was responsible for many things. Kristine is a very hard worker and extremely dependable and works well with her co-workers. She speaks to the children in a caring manner and has a lot of patience. Kristine has the ability to accept additional responsibilities whenever needed and performs these tasks above and beyond the school expectations. While I am sorry to see her leave, I know that she will be an excellent caregiver wherever she goes.”
