Center City Nanny Job:

Part Time: Monday through Wednesday (7am-4pm)
Children: 2 years old
Salary Offering: $15-17 per hour, Based on Experience
Note: Manny demonstrates developmental delays in all areas of development with the exception of her social development which is age appropriate. He is using some basic signs to assist her with communicating, (which can be learned very easily), and is also using some words. Manny wears orthotics which is placed in her sneakers. Manny is pulling to stand, cruising, and standing briefly unassisted but he since he is not walking yet, he does require being carried at times. He does receive occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech therapy through the early intervention system. Manny does not take any medication and has no dietary restrictions or requirements.
Children's Activities: Music, reading books, going on the swing at the playground, and going down the sliding board. He loves to go for walks in his stroller. He is very easy to engage with toys
Position Description: The nanny will need to assist Manny with finishing up breakfast when he arrives. Manny usually plays after breakfast. If the weather permits, he likes going for a long walk and then going to the playground. Manny does not watch television too much other than Sesame Street which is on in the morning so the morning is really playing, reading books, going outside, etc. Manny eats lunch at 12:00. He takes a nap right after lunch that usually lasts 1 to 2.5 hours. When he wakes up, he will need a snack. He will then play until we get home. We would want the nanny doing play activities or taking Manny for walks, etc. during him play time. We would like the activities to be fun and stimulating for Manny. Manny would need him diapers changed and would need to be changed if him clothes got wet or soiled. We would not expect the nanny to do any housework other than tidying up after play and washing him dishes and Manny’s dishes after breakfast and lunch.

PARENT REQUEST:

“We would like a person who is warm and relaxed with children. We would like a nanny who will provide our daughter with stimulating activities and who will spend time playing with her and participating in age appropriate activities with her. We would like a person who is comfortable being silly and who will interact with our daughter playfully. We would like our daughter to develop a bond with the nanny as opposed to just a child/babysitter relationship. A nanny with a background in a Center City home health aide job would be a plus. We would also like to hire a person who is prompt, conscientious, mature, and responsible.”

A home health aide job in Center City will prepare you to work with families who have all kinds of needs. The families speaking below are forever grateful for nannies like you that have provided outstanding care for their children:

“Ellen provided a safe and loving environment for my daughter. My daughter Kyra loves Ellen, and calls her Auntie Ellen. Ellen has even accompanied us on family trips. She is patient with Kyra, and has a very positive outlook in general, which was something that proved useful in her prior Center City home health aide job. She is full of energy, and is hands on involved in activities with Kyra, and seems to generally enjoy being with Kyra. She is also a good 'teacher'. She is very appropriate in her choice of words and descriptions of things. I would recommend her for a nanny position!”

“I know Bernice professionally and personally. Personally, I couldn’t be happier with respite care she gives to my adult son with disabilities in our Center City home health aide job. She can handle unusual behaviors and understands how to give direction to someone with limited mental capacities. My son loves when Bernice comes to spend time with him! Professionally, I know she is highly regarded by the administration, staff and clients of the agency she currently works for. I consider Bernice a friend as well as an employee and professional contact. I thoroughly enjoy her company and the way she relates to people!”

“Debbie is a great employee at her Center City home health aide job and also an excellent Debbie childcare worker! She is just a wonderful person with a great outlook on life! Debbie has often recommended activities for my children that she thought they would enjoy. My five year old loves when Debbie reads her a story because she doesn’t just turn the pages, she gets into the story and my one year old daughter reacts very well to Debbie’s kind-hearted personality! Debbie will sit down on the floor and just play; the kids love her! She is able to balance the fun with the discipline as well. She also respects the rules that we have in our house. I know Debbie will make a great nanny!”

“I was Glenda’s manager at her Center City home health aide job where there were adult individuals with developmental disabilities. Glenda worked under me for a number of years and she was one of my best staff. She was punctual and was kind and understanding to people we serve. I strongly believe she will be a great asset to any family. I got to know her at personal level as well. Our work can be very demanding physically and mentally but she maintained positive attitude. Although we worked for adult population, she always talked about her love for children. We had many children visitors to our group home to do craft work, sing songs and etc. Glenda was exceptionally great with them.”

“For the past nine years I have worked with Wanda providing direct care for adults with developmental disabilities in a Center City home health aide job. Wanda's responsibilities at the group home include many aspects of helping to improve the quality of life of the clients who live in the group home, including assistance with personal care, providing opportunities for leisure activities, and helping the clients learn new skills that will give them more independence in life. Wanda has also been responsible for mentoring clients and assisting them with medical appointments and care. Wanda shows an enormous amount of compassion and patience in all of her interactions with the clients, and she handles all difficult situations that may arise with calm and grace. Wanda's cheerful personality and good sense of humor always put those around her at ease, and whenever Wanda walks in the door everyone at the group home is always happy to see her. Wanda is a kind, compassionate and responsible person who has truly dedicated herself to improving the quality of life of the individuals who live in this group home. I would highly recommend Wanda for a nanny position! As I am certain she will bring all of the wonderful qualities she has shown in helping adults with disabilities to her work in caring for children!”
